Key Responsibilities

- Be a supportive roommate for a 45-year-old female in Red Deer
- Must be female, mature, highly responsible
- Active seniors and retirees who value peaceful living, companionship, and tax-exempt supplemented income are welcome.
- Prepare meals, ensure proper nutrition, coordinate her daily living activities.
- Maintain a clean and protected setting.
- Provide emotional support, building a warm, respectful, and trusting roommate relationship.
- Must have a drivers licence and a vehicle

Experience

- Caring and loving personality, outgoing, patient, sense of humor.
- Ability to perform home cleaning duties as part of the role.
- Good communication skills

- On the Job Training and external also available to expand skills set for this position.
- Self-motivation.
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.
- Must be willing to provide a clean Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check and a Driver's Abstract.

The Shared Living Arrangement

- You will enjoy your own private bedroom in a beautiful, fully furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home.
- The supportive roommate is responsible for purchasing and paying for their own groceries.
- Cost Sharing Contribution - In lieu of rent, you will be charged a nominal $50 per month cost-sharing contribution to assist with household overhead including cable, high-speed internet, heat, and power.

The Financial Opportunity

- As a Supportive Roommate/Independent Contractor, you will receive $2,643 per month tax-exempt.
- You will not receive a T4 slip at the end of the year.
- CRA Tax Exemption - in accordance with Section 81(1)(h) of the Income Tax Act specifically for supportive roommates living with a care recipient.
- Financial advantage - You keep 98% of your earnings plus enjoy a beautiful, fully furnished shared home for the nominal fee of $50 per month.
