The primary responsibilities of this role will include:
- Responsible for working in accordance with OH&S; regulations, JNE safe work procedures, ISO procedures, and JNE Values / Code of Conduct.
- Interpret drawings and weld symbols and organize workspace and environment.
- Understand schedule requirements and perform work efficiently to meet schedule and estimates.
- Fabricate, fit, and tack fabrications according to specifications and drawings. Verify the consumable, shielding gas, and welding parameters of the welding equipment in relation to the weld specification of each weld.
- Weld fabrications
- Material handling and moving of finished product.
- Responsible use of consumables and raw materials.
- Final verification of dimensions and weld preps on the fabrications prior to Quality Assurance checking the fabrication and identifying that it is ready to weld.

Experience
Required
- - Minimum Level 3 Apprenticeship or Journeyperson status as a Metal/Steel Fabricator.
- Minimum 3 years of metal/steel fabrication experience.
- Ability to interpret drawings, weld symbols, & schematics.
- ASME Section IX 1G Roll.
- ASME Section IX - 484 Flat Certification.
- CWB W47.1 – MCAW / FCAW All Position Certification.
- GTAW experience.
- Experience with cranes & rigging (40-hour Crane Training).
