Our client, a growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for newly created position to support the partners with wide scope of responsibilities. Just a great opportunity for recently designated CPA or candidate working towards CPA and seeking to develop their accounting career and mentor directly under the partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Prepare and review financial statements and various reports.
- Prepare corporate compilation year-end files.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Prepare personal T1 and corporate T2 tax returns.
- Personal and corporate tax planning.
- Prepare trust returns for estates (T3) and charity returns (T3010).
- Prepare and file HST, Payroll, EHT and WSIB returns.
- Perform client account and bank reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Client management and relationship building.
- Communicating with partners and staff regarding client engagements and expectations.
- Providing the very best possible client service.

What the successful candidate will bring:

- A CPA designation or in final stage of the program.




- Current experience in preparing corporate compilation files.
- Personal and corporate tax planning experience and preparation of related tax returns.
- Solid communication skills including file management, coaching and building strong client relationships.
- Highly organized and able to effectively manage deadlines.
- Professional tax software experience.
- Excellent time management skills in fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
- Ability to work with diverse group of clients across multiple industries.
