One of our clients is actively seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper / Site Labourer to join their team in Nelson, BC. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn up-to-date building practices while developing valuable carpentry and construction skills as part of a professional timber framing team.

Responsibilities

· Assist carpenters and timber framers with daily construction activities

· Support site preparation, material handling, and general labour duties

· Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the guidance of experienced workers

· Assist with the installation and assembly of timber frame structures

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

· Follow workplace safety procedures and construction guidelines

· Operate basic hand tools and equipment as required





· Learn and develop carpentry, framing, and timber construction skills

Qualifications

· Strong interest in building a career in carpentry or timber framing

· Willingness to learn and follow instructions

· Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude

· Physically capable of performing construction and outdoor work

· Previous construction or carpentry experience is an asset (1 year preferred)

· Ability and willingness to travel for work when required

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
