Job Overview

Milestones Tsawwassen is looking for an energetic, people-focused Assistant General Manager who loves hospitality, knows how to build strong teams, and understands that great restaurant results start with great people.

This is much more than a supervisory position. As AGM, you will be a key leader in the restaurant and work closely with the General Manager to drive the day-to-day business. You’ll take ownership of scheduling, hiring and developing team members, leading shifts, building sales, maintaining operational standards, and creating an environment where both guests and employees want to come back.

We’re looking for someone with personality, presence and initiative—someone who can connect with a guest at the table, coach a team member through a challenge, recognize an opportunity to increase sales, and keep the restaurant moving during a busy service.

What You’ll Do

- Partner with the General Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of Milestones Tsawwassen.
- Build, manage and maintain effective team schedules while balancing business needs, labour targets and employee availability.
- Recruit, interview, hire and onboard great people who fit our culture and hospitality standards.
- Coach, motivate and develop team members and supervisors to help them perform at their best.
- Lead from the floor and maintain a visible presence during service, supporting the team wherever needed.
- Create memorable guest experiences by building genuine connections and resolving concerns with confidence and professionalism.
- Develop a robust culture of hospitality, accountability, teamwork and recognition.




- Drive sales through great hospitality, menu knowledge, suggestive selling and strong execution.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business, increase guest frequency and strengthen relationships within our local community.
- Monitor labour, sales and other key restaurant performance indicators and take action when opportunities arise.
- Support inventory management, ordering, cash handling and other restaurant controls.
- Ensure company standards for food quality, cleanliness, health and safety, responsible alcohol service and overall restaurant operations are consistently maintained.
- Work collaboratively with both Front of House and Back of House leadership to deliver a smooth and consistent guest experience.
- Step into greater operational responsibility when the General Manager is away.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone with the right combination of leadership ability, hospitality instinct, business awareness and drive to grow.

Our ideal candidate has:

- Previous restaurant or hospitality leadership experience, ideally as a manager, assistant manager or experienced supervisor.
- Strong people-management skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
- Experience with scheduling, hiring, interviewing and onboarding.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to lead a diverse team.
- A natural ability to connect with people and create an engaging atmosphere.




- A sales mindset—you understand that great hospitality and great salesmanship go hand in hand.
- The ability to stay organized and make good decisions in a busy, fast-paced restaurant.
- An understanding of labour management, restaurant financials and operational controls.
- Experience with restaurant POS and scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of food safety, responsible alcohol service and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required in the restaurant industry.

Pay: $58,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
