About the Opportunity

As a Small Business Advisor in our Bonnyville branch, you will be the trusted financial partner for our business members. You’ll develop long-term relationships by understanding each member’s unique needs and providing tailored financial solutions that help their businesses grow.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Building and managing a portfolio of small business members.
- Developing new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
- Provide proactive, individualized financial advice, fostering long term member relationships with follow-ups and referrals of credit union products and services.
- Analyzing financial statements, business plans, cash flow, and credit information to assess lending opportunities.
- Preparing lending recommendations within delegated lending authority.
- Monitoring existing credit relationships to ensure sound portfolio quality.
- Collaborating with internal advisors to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
- Staying informed on market trends, industry developments, and local economic conditions.
- Delivering an exceptional member experience that reflects our corporate values.





More About You

We are looking for someone who combines financial expertise with a genuine passion for helping local businesses succeed.

Qualifications include:

- Post-secondary degree in Business or other relevant combined education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in small business banking, lending, financial service and business development.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, applicable risk management policies and legal and security documentation for small business products.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and grow a business portfolio.
- A commitment to providing exceptional member service.
