Cook –Casual and Part time
Join Our Culinary Team
We are seeking a passionate and dependable Cook who takes pride in preparing exceptional meals and delivering an outstanding dining experience. Working alongside the Chef and kitchen leadership team, you will play an important role in creating delicious, well-presented meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and daily production schedules.
- Ensure all meals are presented attractively and meet our high standards for taste and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory rotation, food storage, and minimizing waste.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient meal service and resident satisfaction.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handler Certification.
- A minimum of three years of cooking experience in professional food service environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a hotel, upscale restaurant, retirement residence, or other fine dining environment is considered an asset.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service through quality food and skilled teamwork.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
