The Story Café is a quick-paced casual fine-dining restaurant in Richmond that is dedicated to providing high quality food with excellent service. We are looking for an experienced individual who has drive, motivation and a passion for cooking while being a team player.

The Story Café treats every employee like a family member and wants to make sure they have good health and protection during their employment.

POSITION:

line cooks, must be able to work Saturday and Sunday

SCHEDULE:
Full time Shifts

Shifts are approximately 8 hours+/day

JOB DUTIES:

· Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.

· Prepare easy components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.

· Report to the chef and follow instructions.

· Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

· Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.

· Stock inventory and supplies.





· Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.

REQUIREMENT:

· At least 2 year cooking experience, fine dine experience is an asset

· Able to work in a busy, fast paced environment

· English language skill level: fluent or intermediate level

· Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident preferred, if work permit - must be able to work more than 6 months
