Position: Fractional Controller / Virtual CFO

Engagement: Independent Contractor (70/30 revenue share)

Overview





Propel offers clients higher-level financial oversight through experienced fractional controllers and virtual CFOs. You will work with growing businesses that need more than basic bookkeeping — cash-flow management, reporting, and strategic financial guidance — while operating under the Propel umbrella.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide fractional controller or virtual CFO services
- Develop and monitor cash-flow forecasts
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis
- Advise clients on financial processes and controls
- Support budgeting, pricing, and basic strategic decisions
- Work collaboratively with bookkeepers on the Propel platform when needed

Ideal Profile

- Senior accounting or finance background (Controller, Senior Accountant, or CPA preferred)
- Experience delivering fractional or virtual CFO services
- Comfortable working with small-to-medium businesses
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple clients

Compensation

70% of billed revenue. Propel supplies branding, lead support, administration, and infrastructure.

Pay: $85,894.81-$229,101.95 per year
