Job description:
Summary
Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, administering, and enhancing all aspects of the company’s compliance activities, ensuring the entire organization complies with requirements. Ensuring the organization is compliant with legislation, regulations, and internal and external policies. Conducts audits and makes recommendations that will keep the company from undergoing legal struggles or facing other difficulties due to non-compliance issues.
Primary Responsibilities
· Stay up to date on regulation changes and ensure the company is conforming with government regulations, standard requirements, laws, licenses, and permits. By developing and implementing the new changes.
· Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day administrative and operational compliance activities
· Collaborate with management about the overall compliance structures
· Establish, develop, implement, and maintain the processes needed for the quality & environmental management systems.
· Oversee, develop, maintain, and monitor IMS (i.e., ISO9001, FSSC22000, GMP, ISO14001, ISO 45001 Positive Release, Pest Control, sanitation, in-line sampling, etc.)
· Manage of work with external consultant FCG (Lead auditor FSSC 22000, 7 years of experience in management systems with ICJ/GBLC)
· Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout all departments.
· Report to top management on the performance of the quality and environmental management systems and address any improvement needs
· Participate in various meetings,
· Lead Internal auditor and Company Compliance Lead for external audits
· Act as the internal audit team leader & food safety team leader.
Conduct Internal Audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
· Perform duties of different job profiles related to conformance of rules and obligations
· Develop and implement compliance programs and policies and conduct staff training related to compliance and the IMS
· Oversee, develop, and maintain the implementation of Company policies, procedures, and standard requirements
· Conduct internal risk management monitoring and auditing, develop corrective action, and report findings
· Improve efficiency and quality services
· Revise Company policies and procedures for changes needed by the organization
· Monitor and identify positive and negative trends
· Prevent unethical, illegal or improper conduct in the organization
· Identify areas for improvement and report violations
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Education
· Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology.
· Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience maintaining and revising different policies and procedures related to compliance.
· Knowledge and experience with quality and food safety standards
· Knowledge of government regulations and laws regarding workplace safety, quality and food safety
· Experience performing internal audits
· Skilled in evaluating data using statistical analysis
· Knowledge of safety practices and procedures
· Work requires willingness to work a versatile schedule.
· Experience in administration and planning.
· Dependable, detail oriented
· Ability to manage multiple priorities
· Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
