We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce their server
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Manage the waitlist during peak periods and provide accurate wait-time estimates
- Bus and clean tables as needed
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, takeout orders, delivery orders, and guest inquiries
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
- Process retail beer store sales in accordance with company policies and regulations
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience,
preferably in the hospitality industry
- Previous hosting experience is considered an asset
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills
- Strong guest-service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations
- Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
