Open vacancyOur client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Analyst - Regulatory Accounting to join their team on a 1-year contract basis. Reporting to the Finance team, this role will support financial reporting, regulatory accounting, IFRS compliance, financial statement disclosures, and internal reporting requirements.Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review inputs for consolidated financial statement note disclosures on a quarterly basisPrepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis on a monthly and quarterly basisSupport regulatory filings, internal management reporting, and financial reporting activitiesMonitor and implement IFRS accounting requirements, including IFRS 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial StatementsSupport accounting standard changes, disclosure updates, and regulatory accounting requirements,



including MIFRSAssist with external audit requirements and internal control activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiencies, and automationSupport financial projects, initiatives, and ad hoc analysis as requiredQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fieldCPA designation in Canada is required5+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experienceExperience with financial reporting, consolidated financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosuresStrong knowledge of IFRS standards, including IFRS 18 implementation/adoption experienceRegulatory accounting and MIFRS experience is highly preferredExperience supporting external audits and internal controlsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems
