To be successful here, you’ll balance production, maintenance, and your team’s needs while being accountable to our safety culture. In addition, you’ll look after our log inventory, log quality program, maintain effective weigh scale and scaling practices and supervise log yard and mobile shop employees on a day-to-day basis.

A day in the life of the Logyard/Mobile Equipment Supervisor

- Supervise and provide leadership in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee engagement
- Ensure the Canfor Operating System (COS) is being followed with the emphasis on abnormality response
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling and storage of log inventory
- Manage the log quality program
- Ensure effective scaling practices and weigh scale practices are maintained




- Ensure an adequate log diet is provided to the mill on an ongoing basis
- Ensure log yard and waste yards are maintained as per the Environment Management System
- Responsible for mobile equipment parts inventory and departmental cost controls
- Supervise log yard and mobile shop employees
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Environment and Worksafe BC regulations
- Oversee site and environmental compliance program

Qualifications & Experience

- Proven leadership skills, with several years of supervisory experience in a unionized environment
- Demonstrated supervisory and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 5 years forest industry experience
- Positive knowledge of computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Mobile equipment knowledge is an asset

Benefits & Salary

The salary range for this position is: $79,450.00-$113,500.00. The range provided is for base salary only.
