Job Overview
The Senior Human Resources Generalist supports HR programs, policies and initiatives at Magna Corporate Office. Working under the Senior Manager, Corporate Human Resources, this role serves as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, compensation, onboarding, and HR systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 annually
- Immediate open position
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a positive employee experience and accurate completion of required documentation and system updates.
- Administer compensation reviews & promotions, providing recommendations and guidance to leaders.
- Lead the performance management and goal‑setting processes, including training, communication, tracking completion and providing ongoing support for employees and leaders.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and leaders on employee relations matters & HR policies.
- Support HR systems and processes, including Workday and Dayforce inquiries, data accuracy, reporting, and process improvements.
- Work cross‑functionally to support the creation, implementation, and management of HR policies, programs, employee meetings, and engagement strategies that promote a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- CHRP/CHRL certification and post‑secondary education in HR or a related field.
- Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role,
preferably with Magna.
- Knowledge of current legislation and ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a corporate environment is preferred.
