Role Overview
We are looking for a Security Specialist to investigate incidents, conduct audits, support sales with high‑value packages, and collaborate across departments to minimize risk.
Responsibilities
- Investigate incidents of wrongdoing involving employees, customers, and company assets.
- Prepare detailed incident reports for civil or criminal proceedings.
- Conduct security audits and inspections of protective systems.
- Collaborate with Sales, Claims, Customer Service, and Operations to identify loss causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, or corporate security.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience with security systems such as CCTV, card access, and screening equipment.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Vancouver area and support 24/7 operations.
- Bondable and able to qualify for a law‑enforcement/private investigator license.
- Strong data analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with service dogs.
- Regular onsite presence required to support multiple FedEx facilities.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of corporate policy, industry programs, national legislation, and internal regulations.
- Experience maintaining liaison with local, provincial, and federal law‑enforcement agencies.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance while minimizing operational impact.
- Point of contact for civil or criminal warrants or production orders.
