MSF Canada is a people-focused humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical care and support to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.The Director of Finance and Administration (DFA) plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the financial strength, operational resilience, and governance excellence of MSF Canada.As a member of the Management Team, the DFA provides strategic financial leadership during a period of continued growth and transformation. Strategic Financial LeadershipDevelop and steward MSF Canada's financial strategy aligned with organizational growth and global MSF prioritiesProvide strategic financial insight to the Deputy Executive Director and Management TeamUse financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to inform major organizational decisionsIdentify opportunities for cost optimization, sustainability,
and mission maximizationEquip the organization with strong financial systems and performance indicatorsOversee accounting, budgeting, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance functionsEnsure timely and accurate financial and statistical reporting for management, regulators, and the BoardServe as the primary liaison to the Finance & Audit Committee, supporting fiduciary oversightMaintain strong internal controls and risk-management frameworksEnsure compliance with Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) and CRA requirements3. Systems, Infrastructure & AdministrationLead the development and continuous improvement of financial and administrative systemsOversee implementation and ongoing management of automated financial and information systemsStrengthen digital tools and reporting infrastructure to enhance transparency and efficiencyBuild internal capacity and leverage external expertise to support organizational needsPromote cross-functional collaboration through accessible data and streamlined processes4. People Leadership & Organizational PartnershipLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance and Administration teamFoster a culture of accountability, learning, and inclusionPartner with department leaders to support budgeting, planning, and financial literacyContribute to Management Team decision-making and organizational strategyRepresent MSF Canada within global MSF financial networks and international platformsQualificationsRequiredCPA or other recognized professional accounting designationDegree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related fieldSenior-level professional experience, preferably within an international or complex non-profit organizationDemonstrated success managing large budgets,
