Position Summary:
The Family Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive primary care medical services, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and ongoing management of acute and chronic medical conditions across the lifespan. The Physician delivers care in outpatient clinical settings and, where authorized, virtual care, urgent care, long‑term care, home care, hospital, and other community care environments, in accordance with provincial legislation, College standards, and evidence‑based medical practice. Possession of additional focused practice or enhanced skills training (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Care of the Elderly, Palliative Care, Addiction Medicine, Sport and Exercise Medicine,
Obstetrical Care, or Women’s Health) is considered a significant asset.
