We're partnering with a leading unionized food manufacturer to hire an Engineering Manager who thrives on solving complex equipment and operational challenges. This is a rare opportunity to lead engineering and maintenance initiatives within a highly specialized manufacturing setting, where your technical expertise will directly influence plant performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.We're looking for a hands‐on engineering leader who is as comfortable on the production floor as they are in strategic planning discussions. If your background includes food manufacturing, rendering, edible oils, protein processing, or other high-temperature industrial operations, and you're known for finding solutions where others see problems, we'd love to speak with you.Monday–Friday | Day Shift$135K - $145K Salary (based on qualifications)Benefits from Day 1Engineering Manager – ResponsibilitiesLead engineering and maintenance strategy to maximize uptime, reliability, and efficiencyPersonally support and troubleshoot complex mechanical and process equipment when required—this is a hands‐on roleOversee daily maintenance activities and mentor technical teamsOptimize equipment design, layouts, and preventative maintenance programsEnsure compliance with GMPs, HACCP,



and food safety standardsOwn CAPEX planning, execution, and long‐term asset strategyManage maintenance budgets and drive cost‐saving initiativesCollaborate cross‐functionally with Operations, Quality, and ProductionMaintain high safety standards across all food processing equipmentContinuously improve engineering and maintenance processes, policies, and proceduresEngineering Manager – QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional designation443A or 442A considered a strong asset5+ years in a senior engineering or maintenance leadership role within food manufacturingProven hands‐on engineering capability—able to repair and troubleshoot equipment directlyBackground in rendering, edible oil processing, high-temperature processing, or similar environmentsCentrifugal equipment experience is a mustStrong understanding of rendering or thermal processing systemsExperience with CAPEX, project management, and equipment upgradesDemonstrated experience implementing safety programs and proceduresFamiliarity with maintenance tracking and work‐order systemsStrong budgeting and cost‐control experience within engineering or maintenance operations #J-18808-Ljbffr
