About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Investment Legal to lead a national team of legal professionals in providing support across the investment lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting legal standards for transactions, ensuring compliance with mandate and regulatory requirements, and serving as the senior legal advisor on the company's most complex investments. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and disciplined, business-focused execution within the legal team. The Vice President will also be tasked with establishing and maintaining legal guidance, templates, and policies, as well as implementing procedures to ensure compliance with the company's mandate and authorities.

Investment Legal position at the company should have an LL.B./JD or equivalent, with a minimum of ten years' relevant post-qualification experience in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department of an infrastructure-related firm. Expertise in project and corporate financing, equity investing, and infrastructure-related commercial agreements is essential. The role demands a qualified with strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, who can build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of advising and supporting executives or boards with a business-focused lens, and be committed to the values and public interest mandate of the company. Bilingual proficiency in English and French is strongly preferred.
