General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates to join our organization as a casual Bowling Alley Relief in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Manager, Cowichan Lake Recreation and receiving direction from the Recreation Programmer II or Program Assistant III the Bowling Alley Relief is responsible for the effective operation of the bowling alley in the absence of the Program Assistant III.

Qualifications

- Secondary school graduation or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience with all aspects of bowling is preferred.

- Experience with customer service.

- Experience with processing cash transactions, reconciliations, and operating interac and cash machines.

- Basic First Aid Certificate

- Food Safe Level I Certificate

- Serving It Right Certificate

Hours of Work

As this is a casual opportunity,



there are no guaranteed hours of work. Hours of work are scheduled based on operational need and may include a variety of shifts including days and evenings on weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays.

Salary

Wage rate in 2 steps - $25.94 - $ rates)plus an additional 6% pay in lieu of advantages, 6% pay in lieu of vacation and 5.2% pay in lieu of statutory holidays), as per the CVRD non-union wage scale.

Note

Testing may be required during the interview process. Testing is based on the knowledge, skills, abilities and qualifications outlined in the job description. Successful candidates will be required to submit a satisfactory police information check.
