Be a part of the Family Connection Centre as a Family Support Specialist in Canmore, Alberta. This role provides vital support to families during crucial development stages from infancy to young adulthood.The Family Support Specialist will engage with parents and caregivers, focusing on individualized, strength-based and trauma-informed support. You will assist families through home visits, group programming, and community resources, all aimed at nurturing child development and enhancing family well-being. Flexibility in hours is essential,
accommodating evenings and weekends to meet diverse family needs.Key Responsibilities:- Deliver tailored support to families from pregnancy through young adulthood- Conduct one-on-one sessions for needs assessments and trust-building- Facilitate community engagement events to promote available resources- Navigate and connect families to health and social services- Maintain professional documentation and communication standardsRequirements:- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field- Minimum three years of relevant experience- Understanding of trauma-informed support practices- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal- Current CPR/First Aid certification for work with childrenEnhance family resilience and well-being through dedicated support and community connection.#J-18808-Ljbffr
