Position Overview

We are actively seeking a Financial Advisor for our branch in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Ideal candidates have a solid background in Lending, Investments, or both, along with a genuine drive to grow and advance. Applicants with limited advisory experience who are eager to learn are also welcome.

As a Financial Advisor, you will cultivate meaningful relationships with assigned members, understand their financial goals, and support their achievement through the sale and fulfillment of consumer lending and investment products.

Key Responsibilities

- Member Experience and Sales
- Proactively identify members’ financial goals and provide advice and solutions through introductory financial planning.
- Provide account, investment and lending products to meet member needs:
- Memberships and accounts, including lines of credit
- Consumer investment products, including mutual funds
- Complex consumer lending products
- Cards
- Registered products
- Safety deposit boxes
- Mobile banking solutions
- Day‑to‑day banking needs
- Conduct proactive outreach activities to educate members and prospective members on the value of our products and services.




- Increase retention and expansion of member relationships by referring members to appropriate subject‑matter experts and following up to ensure satisfaction.

- Compliance and Organizational Support

- Ensure complete, accurate and timely documentation.
- Adhere to security and operational policies, procedures and controls.
- Maintain a healthy balance between opportunity and risk, and between growth and profitability.
- Represent Conexus externally to support membership growth and credit union system collaboration.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve operational efficiencies.
- Provide support, assistance and backup to the retail team as needed.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of financial industry experience.
- Experience in a customer care/customer service role.
- Experience in portfolio management.
- IFSC Licensed; experience selling mutual funds is an asset.
- Experience underwriting loans is required; experience approving loans is an asset.
- Personal Financial Services Associate designation, or working toward it.
- Certified Financial Planner designation, or working toward it.

Compensation

- Financial Advisor: $50,180 – $62,720 with a 7% short‑term incentive target.
- Financial Advisor, Lending or Investments: $58,540 – $73,710 with a 9% short‑term incentive target.
- Senior Financial Advisor: $67,660 – $84,570 with a 10% short‑term incentive target.
