We invite you to use your skills with us and contribute to something meaningful and enduring.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Architecture, to join our Information Technology organization, supporting enterprise and industrial operations from Toronto/Sudbury, ON.This is a permanent, hybrid role, operating in a complex, global IT and OT environment, where uptime, safety, and resilience are non‐negotiable.This role is practitioner‐led and execution‐oriented. It is designed for a senior technical expert who can act as a hands‐on authority across infrastructure, networks, hosting, cloud, integration platforms, cybersecurity, identity, and end‐user computing.You will work closely with engineering teams, vendors, cybersecurity, architecture peers, and delivery teams to turn architectural intent into operable, real‐world solutions across corporate and site‐based environments.About YouYou are a deeply technical architecture leader who thrives in large‐scale, industrial or asset‐intensive environments. You are comfortable going deep into technical detail when required and are respected as a trusted authority during complex design decisions, major incidents, and critical initiatives.You balance strong architectural thinking with pragmatic execution. You understand the realities of legacy systems, OT constraints, and operational risk—and you design solutions that work in practice, not just on paper.Key Responsibilities:In This Role, You WillBackend IT & OT Technical ArchitectureOwn and evolve the technical architecture for backend IT and OT platforms, including data centres, networks, cloud environments, hosting platforms, middleware, identity, cybersecurity tooling, and end‐user computingEnsure architectures support both enterprise IT workloads and industrial OT environmentsDesign for availability, performance, safety, security, and operational resilienceInfrastructure, Network & Hosting ArchitectureDefine and oversee enterprise‐wide network architectures spanning corporate, site, and OT networksOwn hosting and compute architectures across on‐prem, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid environmentsEnsure appropriate segmentation,
redundancy, and failover across IT/OT landscapesCloud, Middleware & Platform IntegrationDefine cloud architecture patterns and technical guardrailsOwn middleware and integration platform architectures supporting enterprise, data, and industrial systemsEnsure platforms enable reliable, scalable integration across complex environmentsCybersecurity & Technical Risk ManagementEmbed cybersecurity‐by‐design across technical architecturesPartner closely with cybersecurity teams to align with standards, threat models, and regulatory requirementsAssess and mitigate technical risks related to legacy platforms, OT environments, and site constraintsTechnical Leadership & Delivery SupportAct as a senior technical authority for solution design, major incidents, and complex challengesProvide hands‐on guidance to engineers, integrators, and vendors through design, build, testing, and deploymentReview and challenge technical designs to ensure architectural integrity and operational viabilityStandardization & Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to reduce complexity through standardization and modernizationDefine repeatable technical patterns and reference architecturesCapture lessons learned from outages and implementations to improve resilience and reliabilityExperience & Education11–15 years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or technical architecture rolesStrong background in enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud, middleware, and cybersecurityPractical experience supporting or operating in industrial or OT‐adjacent environments strongly preferredProven experience working with vendors, system integrators, and managed service providersBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldCollege Diploma considered with equivalent experienceSkillsDeep technical expertise across infrastructure, networking, hosting, cloud, identity, and end‐user platformsStrong understanding of hybrid IT/OT architecturesAbility to design large‐scale systems with high availability, resilience, and recoverabilityHands‐on technical leadership and incident support experienceStrong communication skills across technical and non‐technical audiencesCalm, methodical, and disciplined approach in high‐pressure environmentsStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and safety awarenessWhat We Offer YouCompetitive compensation including a variable annual incentive planParticipation in a competitive Defined Contribution Pension packageComprehensive perks package (company paid core coverage,
