Role Description

The Dental Hygienist is a part-time, in office role based at Country Hills Dentistry in Kitchener, ON. This role involves providing thorough dental hygiene care, including assessments, scaling, polishing, and patient education on oral health practices. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, assisting in the prevention and management of periodontal disease, documenting treatment and findings, and collaborating with dentists and other team members to support comprehensive patient care. The Dental Hygienist also helps maintain a clean, safe,



and organized clinical environment and promotes a welcoming experience for all patients.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support general, preventive, and restorative treatment plans.
- Demonstrated expertise in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and oral health assessment.
- Experience in identifying, preventing, and managing Periodontal Disease through effective treatment and patient education.
- Valid Dental Hygienist license or registration in Ontario, in good standing.
- Knowledge of infection control, sterilization protocols, and current dental hygiene best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered and inclusive approach to care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based clinical setting and manage time efficiently.
- Prior experience in family or general dentistry settings is an asset; familiarity with dental practice management software is beneficial.
