The Principal’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership to Morris Thomas Memorial School (Whitefish Bay); must work cooperatively with and the Waninitawingaang Memorial School (Kejick Bay) and Obishikokaang Elementary School (Frenchman’s Head).

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Education and/or principal accreditation
- Minimum of three years of experience in management
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a school setting would be considered an asset
- Strong communications, public relations, interpersonal, planning, organizational
- and strong leadership skills.
- Robust commitment to equality and diversity in education
- Strong commitment to the goals and vision of the schools
- Knowledge of federally regulated school operations
- Knowledge and sensitivity of FN traditions and culture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number and legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant legislation
