Our client a quick-growing custom furniture manufacturer startup is looking for a Design Lead to join the team!

You’ll split your time between leading a small design team (4 people) and running your own client projects. This is a hands-on leadership role, not purely managerial.

What you’ll be doing:

- Leading and scheduling a team of 4 designers
- Managing your own client projects end-to-end
- Creating and refining designs in SolidWorks
- Reviewing and approving shop drawings
- Collaborating with an offshore production team in Asia
- Coordinating with purchasing on electrical and control samples

What we’re looking for:

- Strong background in furniture design and manufacturing
- SolidWorks proficiency - this is a must
- Experience with shop drawing prep and review
- Solid understanding of furniture construction, finishes, and stains
- Comfortable leading a team while staying hands-on with projects
