We are seeking a Construction Litigation Associate to join a leading litigation firm, working on high-stakes disputes involving major construction and infrastructure projects across Canada. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate looking for hands‑on advocacy experience within a premier construction litigation practice. You will work closely with experienced trial lawyers on complex disputes involving developers, contractors, lenders, architects, engineers, and other key industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage key components of complex construction and infrastructure litigation files
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare litigation materials
Attend court appearances, arbitrations, examinations, and motions
Assist with litigation strategy and case development
Work directly with clients, experts, and industry professionals
Handle document‑intensive matters and complex evidentiary records
Support dispute resolution involving liens, delays, deficiencies, and contractual claims
Qualifications
Qualified to practice law in Ontario
2-5 years of construction and infrastructure litigation experience
Solid understanding of construction industry practices and lien procedures
Experience managing complex litigation files
Excellent analytical, organizational, and advocacy skills
Strong attention to detail and client‑service orientation
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑performance environment
Real estate litigation experience is considered an asset
