Join Active Start Childcare as a Van Driver managing transportation for children in our Out of School Care program at Country Hills. Ideal candidates will have experience driving for schools or daycare and a Class 4 driver's license.
This role requires someone who is motivated, adaptable, and professional, with a strong ability to engage with children. You'll need a clean driver's abstract, good communication skills, and ideally have or be willing to obtain Level 1, 2, or 3 Alberta Child Care Certification. The role's focus is on creating a safe and nurturing setting for children during transport and at various planned activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive children safely to and from school
• Supervise children during pick-ups and drop-offs




• Engage children during field trips and at the centre
• Build positive relationships with families and colleagues
• Follow Alberta regulations and Active Start’s policies
Requirements:
• Class 4 driver's license is mandatory
• Prior childcare/daycare experience preferred
• Level 1, 2 or 3 Certification (or willing to obtain)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Clean criminal record check and first aid certification
