Our client is a growing architectural studio operating across Western Canada, delivering a diverse portfolio across multi-family residential, high-end custom homes, and commercial projects. They offer a cooperative, design-led environment where team members are involved across all phases of delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Intermediate or Senior Architectural Technologist to take ownership of documentation, work closely with consultants and internal teams, and play a key role in delivering high-quality construction documentation across all project phases. *hybrid role
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality construction drawings and contract documentation using Revit.
- Lead the development of technical details, specifications, and building envelope solutions.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and document management to help keep projects on track and aligned with key milestones.
- Assist with building code analysis, municipal bylaw reviews, and permitting submissions.
- Contribute across all phases of project delivery, from schematic design through construction, ensuring accurate, coordinated,
and technically sound documentation.
- Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, site reviews, and coordinating field-related documentation as required.
- Play an active role in the delivery of multifamily residential projects, contributing technical expertise and a solutions-focused mindset to project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with a strong understanding of the Alberta Building Code and municipal bylaws.
- Experience with municipal permitting processes is essential.
- Architectural Technology Diploma or equivalent accredited qualification.
- Solid foundation in wood-frame construction, detailing, and building envelope systems is required. High level of attention to detail and strong technical documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Revit is required, AutoCAD & SketchUp considered an asset.
- Passion for multifamily residential projects and a desire to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality housing developments.
The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $70,000 - $90,000 (depending on experience) + bonus potential, benefits and hybrid (2 days WFH).
