At LASIK MD, a partner with Vision Group, we're searching for a full-time Surgical Assistant committed to making a difference. This position involves working closely with ophthalmologists, managing surgical tools, and ensuring the operating room is prepared with precision. You’ll thrive in a supportive culture while developing specialized skills in advanced ophthalmic technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with the ophthalmologist during procedures
• Prepare the operating room and tools with attention to detail
• Anticipate surgical actions and follow established protocols
• Develop expertise in intraocular procedure tools and technologies
• Maintain a clean and safe setting in the operating room
Requirements:
• Interest in health care and high-tech devices
• Experience in similar roles (e.g., optometric assistant)
• Proficient with Microsoft 365; EMR knowledge a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English and French
• Availability Monday to Friday, 7:00 am onwards
