This opportunity is for a permanent part-time or full time Teacher for the school year. Candidates should have a solid background in teaching students with visual impairments, including knowledge of braille and adaptive technology. You will provide valuable educational support while traveling across Calgary and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized curriculum resources for visually impaired students
• Conduct assessments and provide insights on educational needs
• Offer direct instructional support including braille and technology training
• Collaborate with staff to integrate students into mainstream environments
• Maintain knowledge of current practices and adaptive technologies
Requirements:
• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Trained in Unified English Braille (UEB)
• Proven experience with visually impaired students
• Understanding of Alberta’s educational standards
• Vehicle required for travel and logistics
