you will be dedicated to serving specialists within municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, providing industry-leading expertise for products found "inside the fence" of wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and pumping stations. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and municipal specialists to manage complex projects, interpret mechanical bills of material, and supply piping, valves, fittings, and specialized equipment.To achieve success in the position, you will:Represent the Profit Centre in a skilled mannerUphold our core values and ethics with every interactionBuild long lasting, loyal, and profitable customerTake initiative, be persuasive by using excellent communication and selling skillsKnow the products at the Profit CentreBe an effective part of the team at the Profit CentreAdditional duties include:Process sales orders and turn quotations into orders through customer interactions, primarily over the phoneGrow customer base; develop recent customers using outbound calling campaignsUse interpersonal skills to strengthen relationships with existing customers and increase market shareMaintain relationships with established key accounts and ensure that their requests are metAct as a project manager (as needed) for large projects, which includes keeping detailed records of lead times and communicating lead time updates to the customerInvestigate and resolve customer issues such as pricing deductions and product returnsInteract with and assist customers who come to the Profit Centre to pick up ordersObtain delivery details from customers on when/where orders are neededStay up to date with customer projects and anticipate product needsExpedite customer material with vendors when requiredFollow up with customers on quotes and outstanding ordersSupport the Outside Sales and Counter Teams with customer orders and issuesBe an integral part of the team supporting all activities that occur at the Profit CentreCommunicate to the Profit Centre Manager and Credit Department any changes in a customer’s business that might cause a credit riskBe comfortable analyzing construction blueprints to best serve the customerMeet or exceed the Profit Centre’s gross profit and sales targetsPerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre ManagerQualificationsWhat we are looking for from you:A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales – contractor experience preferredProficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwareOutstanding customer service and telephone skillsPossess a high level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities; must be able to multitask and balance many different deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and teammatesAbility to identify customer requirements and provide profitable solutions and close the saleIntermediate math skills and ability to learn applicable operating and quotation software systemsAdditional InformationSalary Range - $50,000-$70,000EMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a discrimination, harassment, and barrier free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
