As someone with excellent communication skills and business acumen, you will thrive in our fast‑paced and agile environment.Your opportunityDillon’s Land Development Business Unit is looking for a Senior Civil Project Manager to fill an existing vacancy within our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.At Dillon, we operate as one team. The successful candidate can be based at our London, ON office.We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.Responsibilities
Project Manager ComponentAct as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teamsDevelop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocationLead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environmentMonitor project budgets, control costs, ensure financial objectives are met. Work with Administration staff to complete various financial management activities, including invoicing, collections/AR, backlog analysis, etc.Work with Contract Administration staff to oversee construction activities, ensuring they are completed to the required quality standards, and resolve any on‑site issues that arise. Attend pre‑construction meetingsManage or support post construction activities as required for objectives such as letter of credit reductions, construction certifications, municipal assumption activities, registration clearances, etc.Project Engineer ComponentOversee and contribute to the design and engineering of site and subdivision development projects, including grading and drainage, sewer and water infrastructure, project phasing, utility coordination, stormwater management, low‑impact development, and erosion and sedimentation control. (use of Civil 3D and other land development software is an asset but not required)Work closely with other project managers, Team Leads, and designers to perform various design and approval related tasks, including preparation and coordination of Preliminary Servicing Reports (PSI), Functional Servicing Reports, Design Briefs,



and Stormwater Management ReportsWork directly with the project consultant team and client representatives to facilitate design coordination as well as direct contact with approval agencies to expedite addressing commentsProvide leadership and technical guidance to junior staff and assist in their skill development and growthLearning & DevelopmentCommit to self‑development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committeesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relatable degreeRegistered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in OntarioExpert knowledge of Subdivision and Site Plan DesignKnowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is an assetA working knowledge of Stormwater Management practices and techniquesExperienceMinimum of 8 years project management experience in the Civil/Land Development SectorExcellent communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple project timelinesExperience working on projects in southwestern Ontario is an assetExperience related to subdivision design and approvals in preferredExperience with a wide variety of land development projects is an assetA passion for learning new ways to use the design software to produce smarter & fast‑er designs and a desire to be on the leading edge and stay thereA desire to make the world a better place through your professional work and an appreciation that this must be done pragmatically in the context of project budgets and what agencies will approveCompensation$75,000 to $125,000Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant’s education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
