Job Overview
We are recruiting two highly organized and experienced E&I; Quality Control Inspectors. This role focuses on the Electrical and Instrumentation scope with a critical emphasis on progressive development, review, and finalization of project turnover binders. The successful candidate will ensure all E&I; documentation meets client and regulatory standards, facilitating a seamless transition from construction to commissioning and final turnover.
This position follows a 14‑day on / 14‑day off rotation, working 12‑hour shifts at Kearl Oil Sands. It is camp‑based with flights provided from Edmonton and/or Calgary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead progressive development and compilation of E&I; turnover binders to meet client requirements
- Perform quality oversight of E&I; installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and relevant codes (CEC/NEC)
- Review and approve subcontractor quality documentation, including ITRs, loop check reports, and cable test results
- Coordinate and witness testing activities including point‑to‑point checks, loop checks, insulation resistance (Megger) testing, and instrument calibration verification
- Organize and lead system walkdowns with client representatives and internal teams; identify and manage punch‑list items
- Act as primary interface for E&I; quality documentation between construction teams, engineering, and the client; maintain status logs for RFIs, FCNs, and quality reports
- Manage the redlining process and verify that as‑built drawings are accurately reflected in the final turnover package
Skills, Education & Qualifications
- Certification: Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation Technician (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated track record of leading and finalizing E&I; turnover binders for major projects; strong familiarity with ITR management, system handover processes, and project close‑out requirements
- Deep understanding of E&I; codes, standards, and typical oil and gas infrastructure
- Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu; familiarity with project data management or turnover software (e.g., MC Plus, O3) is an asset
- Solid time management and communication skills for client and subcontractor interfacing
- Willingness to complete necessary safety training and maintain a safety‑conscious work environment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing/criminal background checks
