The college focuses on technology, healthcare, business, and management programs and is a member of Career Colleges Ontario and the National Association of Career Colleges.Job SummaryTrades Program Coordinatorwill play an integral role in maintaining the accreditation of the Trades program and assist students in acquiring the competencies required for skilled trades, particularly in Renovations and Cabinetry.Working HoursMonday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.Role and ResponsibilitiesManage day‑to‑day operations of the trades programs, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to college policies.Coordinate class schedules, faculty assignments, and program resources.Monitor program budgets and manage expenses.Ensure adequate supplies are available for all cohorts.Work with faculty to develop and update curriculum to reflect industry trends.Ensure programs meet accreditation standards and industry requirements.Develop and implement assessment methods to evaluate program effectiveness and student learning outcomes.Provide guidance and support to faculty members, including instructional materials and career development.Coordinate faculty meetings and training sessions to foster collaboration.Assist in recruitment, selection, and evaluation of faculty.Support instructors to avoid class cancellations.Ensure timely submission of course completion reports and collect student feedback.Serve as a point of contact for students, addressing academic and administrative concerns.Develop and implement student support services such as tutoring, career counseling, and job placement assistance.Organize program‑related events, workshops, and industry visits.Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, employers, and trade associations.Coordinate internships, apprenticeships,



and co‑op placements for students.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections.Maintain accurate records related to compliance and safety.Skills RequiredHands‑on experience with trade tools and equipment.Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.Detail oriented and focused on day‑to‑day tasks.Strong time‑management skills.Qualifications & Experience5+ years of work experience in the trades industry.Associate Degree or Diploma from an accredited trade school, or equivalent experience.Experience in trades education, program coordination, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on teaching experience.Experience as a Trades Program Coordinator is an asset.Strong understanding of trades industries and current trends.Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to trades programs.Proficiency in office software, AutoCAD, and technology tools for program management.Working ConditionsTrades Program Coordinators are provided with the necessary tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.Compliance and RegulatoryAdhere to all CIMT College policies and procedures.Comply with regulatory standards set by the Ministry of Training for Colleges and Universities and the OCC Act, 2005.Pay DetailsBase salary: CAD 70,000 – 72,000 per annum.Accessibility and Equal Employment Opportunity StatementCIMT College is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to a diverse, inclusive, and accessible work environment.
