Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment and vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair procedures.
- Use hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure all equipment and vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about repair and maintenance needs.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy parts and equipment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and potentially in remote or harsh conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably in an oilfield or industrial setting.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in mechanics are preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in repair and maintenance tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites.
