At Spaceium, we are building spacecraft systems designed to push the boundaries of what's possible in orbit. As an Electrical Intern, you will work alongside our electrical engineering team on real spacecraft hardware. This is a hands‑on role where you will contribute directly to the design, testing, and integration of electrical and electronic systems for our missions.ResponsibilitiesSupport schematic capture and PCB layout for spacecraft avionicsAssist with harness design, wiring, and integrationHelp bring up, test, and debug electronic boards and subsystemsSupport electrical testing including power, signal integrity, and functional testsContribute to documentation, test reports, and design reviewsAssist with lab setup, instrumentation, and test equipmentCollaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineersBasic QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldFamiliarity with basic electronics, circuit analysis, and lab instrumentationExposure to at least one programming language (Python, C,



or C++)Eagerness to learn and work in a rapid‑paced startup environmentWhat We're Looking ForWe're building technology that hasn't been done before. If you're excited about spacecraft, enjoy solving hard engineering problems, and want to help build something new, we encourage you to apply.Preferred SkillsCreative problem solver with strong first‑principles thinking, capable of assessing risk and making decisions with limited data.Experience in a nimble, technical engineering role, with a scrappy, entrepreneurial approach to meeting tight time or budget constraints.Hands‑on experience with personal or academic electronics projectsFamiliarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium, KiCad, or similar)Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, or embedded systemsComfort with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and lab test equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdditional RequirementsExtended hours and weekend work may be required to support critical project and mission milestones.This role requires a physical presence at the Ottawa facility.#J-18808-Ljbffr
