Our client is a growing and well-established organization within the commercial real estate finance industry. They are looking to add a detail-oriented and highly organized Commercial Mortgage Loan Closer to their team. In this position, you will play a key role in coordinating the loan closing process, working closely with underwriting, borrowers, legal counsel, and third-party vendors to ensure transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Closing & Due Diligence Coordination

- Prepare Letters of Intent (LOIs) and Commitment Letters using standardized templates while ensuring compliance with all credit requirements.
- Manage the closing pipeline by receiving deposits and executed LOIs/Commitment Letters and distributing files to legal counsel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers by providing customized closing checklists, outlining due diligence requirements, and answering questions throughout the process.
- Coordinate with title insurance providers, insurance consultants, and other third-party vendors to obtain all required documentation.
- Review tenant estoppel certificates, insurance policies, AML documentation, and legal due diligence packages to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Closing & Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with the underwriting, origination, and accounting teams to ensure all due diligence requirements have been satisfied prior to closing.




- Ensure all escrow and reserve requirements are accurately reflected in the final mortgage loan closing statement.
- Prepare and review final closing documentation while providing clear instructions to legal counsel regarding loan document negotiations.
- Confirm all closing conditions have been satisfied and ensure files comply with internal policies, investor requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Funding & Reconciliation

- Prepare, balance, and verify final closing figures and mortgage loan closing statements.
- Coordinate the requisition of loan funds and arrange funding wire transfers.
- Complete post-closing reconciliations to ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and properly documented.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending, loan underwriting, loan origination, loan servicing, mortgage administration, or a related financial or legal environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and coordinate effectively with borrowers, lawyers, underwriters, and external vendors.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to review legal and financial documentation while ensuring compliance with lending guidelines.
- Proven ability to identify missing information, proactively resolve issues, and successfully manage multiple loan files in a rapid-paced environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with loan origination or mortgage servicing software.
