About The Role

Amrize Construction is seeking a seasonal, full-time Screed Operator to join our team in Saskatoon, SK. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring high-quality asphalt paving operations while maintaining safety, efficiency, and teamwork on job sites. The successful candidate will operate the screed on a paver, monitor material production, and contribute to the overall success of our paving operations. This is a full-time seasonal position.

What You’ll Accomplish

- Fully trained in the operations and capability of the screed on a paver.
- Work as part of a team to operate the paver efficiently.
- Perform repair and maintenance on the paver under the direction of the plant foreman or lead hand.
- Ensure accurate thickness of asphalt and monitor material production within specifications.
- Ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product.
- Assist with various job site operations as needed.
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork and seek out best practices.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We’re Looking For

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience : Min 2 years of experience operating a screed

Required Training/Certifications : Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Required Technical Skills : Knowledge of City of Saskatoon Specifications, ability to read survey markings

Travel Requirements :



Frequent travel between job sites within the City of Saskatoon and surrounding areas

Additional Requirements

- Mechanically inclined with experience in basic equipment maintenance.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling.
- Proven ability to follow protected work procedures and complete field risk assessments.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
