The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics and repairs, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues accurately
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and working with heavy machinery
- Maintain accurate work orders and repair notes
- Communicate clearly with team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic, preferably within a dealership or automotive service center
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts replacement
- Journeyperson certification is an asset but not required
