We are currently recruiting a full-time, on-site Construction Supervisor for a well-established commercial construction organization operating across Western Canada.
This organization has a long history of delivering successful construction projects across commercial and institutional sectors, built on strong operational systems, workforce stability, and a commitment to safe and efficient project delivery.
The Construction Supervisor will play a key leadership role in coordinating field workforce activities, supporting project execution, and ensuring labour resources are effectively aligned across multiple job sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate field workforce activities across multiple active construction projects.
- Plan and allocate labour resources in alignment with project schedules and operational needs.
- Work closely with project leadership to ensure labour budgets and productivity targets are achieved.
- Support daily coordination of crews across various job sites.
- Monitor attendance, performance, and workforce compliance expectations.
- Assist with onboarding and integration of new field employees and documentation requirements.
- Support employee relations and assist in resolving on-site workforce issues when required.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, efficiency, and workforce needs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance field productivity and coordination.
- Ensure consistent application of quality and operational standards across all sites.
- Collaborate with site leadership to support safe and efficient job site operations.
- Assist in workforce development, coaching, and support of emerging site leaders.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction field supervision.
- Strong background in workforce coordination and multi-site labour management.
- Solid understanding of commercial construction processes and site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining protected and productive job sites.
- Willingness to travel between project sites as required.
