The role will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate and execute activities to ensure operational risk objectives are accomplished on time, including:Risk Assessment & Monitoring: Designing and implementing frameworks to identify, assess, and monitor operational risks across business unitsControl Framework Development: Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls aligned with regulatory requirements and RBC's risk appetiteGovernance Execution: Leading cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to operational risk policies and proceduresRegulatory Compliance: Ensuring alignment with banking regulations (OSFI, FINTRAC, etc.) and internal governance standardsIncident Management: Coordinating response protocols and remediation strategies for operational risk eventsStakeholder Communication: Communicating risk insights and governance updates to senior management and business leadersWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must haves: Must Deep Understanding of Regulatory & Compliance FrameworkComprehensive knowledge of banking regulations (OSFI, FINTRAC, Basel III, etc.) and ability to translate requirements into actionable governance policiesFamiliarity with RBC's risk appetite statement and how to operationalize it across the organizationStrong Analytical & Risk Assessment SkillsAbility to identify, quantify, and prioritize operational risks across complex business environmentsProficiency in risk modeling, scenario analysis,
