TRADE JOURNEYMAN HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC / COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT MECHANIC

Location: Quesnel, BC

Full‑time, year‑round position.

Key Considerations:

- You have a satisfactory driver’s abstract.
- You want to be home every night.
- You enjoy the challenge of working on heavy‑duty equipment.

Required Qualifications:

- Certified Trade Journeyman Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport Mechanic.
- Valid BC driver’s license (minimum Class 5; Class 1 or 3 with air preferred). Positive driving record.
- Physically fit and capable of performing job requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and repair an equipment fleet that includes trucks, trailers, graders, loaders, backhoes, mowers, brushers, sweepers, excavators, pavers, rollers, asphalt profilers, and winter‑maintenance attachments.




- Execute preventive maintenance programs.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure high equipment availability.

Compensation and Perks:

Wages and benefits package as per the BCGEU Collective Agreement.
