Clean Harbors is looking for Local Driver/Operator to join their safety‑conscious team in Fort McMurray, AB. The position requires experience in oilfield, industrial, or construction environments and the ability to operate a vacuum truck.

Position Details

Union Local 362 Teamsters position with a field rate of $39.37 per hour. The role follows a 7/7 rotation schedule of 10‑hour days, alternating between day and night shifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure health and safety by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Safely drive equipment to and from work sites and operate units while on site.
- Transport hazardous and non‑hazardous waste to Clean Harbors or approved third‑party disposal facilities.




- Build client relations by providing high levels of customer service.
- Complete all required paperwork daily, including pre/post trip inspection reports and field risk assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License (18‑speed manual transmission) required.
- Must be local to Fort McMurray.
- Valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO/CSTS certificates required (training available and proof needed before first day).
- Experience with hot loading and hot fluids is an asset.
- Oilfield, industrial, or construction experience is an asset.
- Previous vacuum truck and/or high‑pressure unit operating experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in a labor‑intensive role.
- Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly during the shift.
- Willingness to work 10‑12‑hour shifts and night shifts.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team‑focused, safety‑oriented environment.
