If you're looking for a career that moves, join our team of professionals passionate about the future of transportation.Your OpportunityStantec is actively seeking a Project Manager, Transportation for our team located in Ottawa, Ontario. This group provides consulting services for Class Environmental Assessment, Preliminary Design, and Detail Design projects for public sector clients, including the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and several Ontario Southeast clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDirecting roadway design staff, and managing multi-discipline project teamsFinancial management of projects including budget forecasting, resource management, change‐order management, and client invoicingDeveloping proposals, budgets and schedules,
and on‐going business development and liaison with clients, both internal and external to StantecCollaborating with Transportation Leaders and other Project Managers to identify staffing, equipment, and training requirementsSupporting the Stantec Quality Management System, and promoting Stantec's Environmental Health & Safety programEnsuring that the required functions of the project are implemented to meet standardsDeveloping and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentationsBuilding a strong culture of quality design and teamworkOther duties as assigned/requiredQualificationsYou are a highly motivated, registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, and have minimum 5‐7 years of related and applied work experience.Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and customer relationship skills are essential.Experienced in project management on MTO and/or Ontario municipal road projects.Experienced in SW Ontario public sector projects will set you apart from your peer group.Experienced in report and proposal writing.Experienced roadway design.Education and ExperienceUniversity or college degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in the field of road design and constructionProfessional Engineer (P.Eng. or LEL) is requiredMinimum of 5‐7 years demonstrated experience with roadway project management responsibilitiesTypical office workplace: working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
