About the RoleWe're recruiting Geomatics Analysts (Level 2) to support the development of geospatial mapping capabilities and products for evolving aircraft systems, including major helicopter modernization programs. This role sits within a specialized engineering team producing aeronautical charts and custom geospatial products built to meet strict aviation operational airworthiness standards - a highly specialized cartographic and GIS discipline.What You'll DoAnalyze, develop, and document the functional requirements of aircraft map-display systems, including information, procedures, and decision flowsEvaluate existing procedures and methods; identify and document database content, structure, and application sub-systems; develop data dictionariesDefine input/output sources and detailed technical design plans, and support approval of designsDesign and document system components, their interfaces, and operational environmentsDesign data structures, files, sub-systems, modules, and production workflows, including testing strategies and systemsDocument system design and concepts, and present for approvalProduce complete operational systems, including forms, manuals, programs, data files, and proceduresPerform GIS and cartographic production analysis and modellingDesign and implement functional prototypes of aeronautical charts and productsRestructure and integrate data from diverse sources and formats into production workflowsCreate and update metadata for geospatial datasets compliant with ISO 19115 metadata standardsCreate, update, and maintain documentation outlining production procedures and applicable aeronautical/mapping standardsCreate, update, and document standardized datasets and fit-for-purpose aeronautical products across aircraft fleetsMaintain detailed product specifications, database schemas,
