Role and Mission Beacon is seeking a Tax Manager to own the tax function across our portfolio of software businesses in Canada and the United States. This role is responsible for compliance, provision, indirect tax, and transaction tax across a growing, multi-entity, acquisition-driven group. This is a senior, self-directed role. You will own the technical tax agenda and lead our external tax advisors and specialists rather than depend on internal coaching. You will also help lead the tax workstream of our ongoing ASPE → IFRS conversion.



This is a foundational role in building an internal tax capability that scales with our growth. Location: Toronto, ON Working Arrangements: Hybrid (In-office 3–4 days / week) What You 'll Do Tax Compliance — Canada & U.S. Own Canadian corporate income tax (T2) compliance across all entities, including installments, elections, and supporting schedules. Own U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance across operating entities. Maintain a portfolio-wide compliance calendar and ensure timely, accurate filings across all jurisdictions. Coordinate cross-border matters (e.G., Canada–U.S. structures, withholding, intercompany) with internal finance and external advisors. Indirect Tax & State Registrations Own sales tax, GST/HST, and U.S. state/local indirect tax compliance across the portfolio. Lead multi-state nexus analysis and complete current state registrations — a common gap as we acquire and integrate U.S. companies. Manage indirect tax setup, registrations, and
