Power Electrical Ltd.subsidiary of Aecon Utilities is on the path to becoming Canada’s #1 utility construction provider — and we’re looking for a Co‑op, Project Coordinatorto support that mission for duration of 8 to 16 months.Reporting to the General Manager, the Co‑op, Project Coordinator will assist with coordination and administrative tasks for utility construction projects. This role is ideal for a student seeking hands‑on experience in project coordination, construction management, or engineering.Duration:8 - 16 monthsLocation:Ajax, ONWhat You’ll Do Here:Support the Project Manager with day‑to‑day project coordination and on‑site activitiesPrepare, organize, and maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycleAssist in setting up project folders, templates, and required documentation during project start‑upMaintain project files and records on shared servers and document control systemsTrack, log, and manage project documentation, including RFIs, reports,
and general correspondenceEnsure drawing and report folders are current and distribute updated information as neededSupport preparation and tracking of change notices and change ordersSchedule, attend, and take minutes for project meetings and conference callsGenerate, log, and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs)Assist in preparing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals and Quality Assurance documentationTrack and summarize site hours worked in alignment with project reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safe work practicesWhat You Bring to the Team:Currently enrolled in 2 year program of Technician or 3 year program in technologist or Electrical Engineering degree with 2nd or 3rd yearInterest in the electrical utility sectorUnderstanding of basic project coordination concepts such as scheduling, documentation control, and change managementStrong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsComfortable working in both office and field/site environmentsProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and MS Project; experience with Hard Dollar or SAP is an assetHighly organized with strong time‑management skillsAbility to work independently and accurately in a fast‑paced environmentReason for Vacancy: NewThe expected pay range for this role is $22.00 - $24.00 per hourIndividual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.Aecon fosters diversity, inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
