Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical/Surgical. Shift: All shifts; floating across units required. Location: Hazelton, BC. We are seeking a skilled LPN to join the Med/Surg team in Hazelton, BC. This position requires flexibility and clinical expertise to provide high-quality care to patients across multiple units, including acute, postpartum, and complex care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care to medical, surgical, and postpartum patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical standards.
- Provide care for patients requiring Negative Pressure Wound Care .
- Apply knowledge of the BC Mental Health Act in relevant situations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards.
Qualifications
- Current registration with BCCNM .
- NRP certification required.
- Completion of Cultural Safety course prior to deployment.
- PEWS certification recommended but not required.
- Experience in acute care, Med/Surg, and postpartum care preferred.
- Comfortable floating to multiple units and working all shifts.
- Must have completed site orientation.
