Job Description
Financial Management: Plan, control, and organize financial activities, including the use of funds and financial resources
Accounting and Reporting: Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and journal entries, and assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits
Reporting: Responsible for completing required reporting for a variety of funders and compliance reporting requirements
Payroll and Perks: Process payroll, manage employee enrollment, and handle workers' compensation and T4 slips
Analysis and advice: Analyze financial data to identify trends and issues and provide technical assistance and advice to department managers
Reconciliation: Balance and reconcile various general ledger accounts
Experience:
Requires experience with Non-Profit Organizations and Indigenous Organizations
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Several years in finance/accounting, handling AP/AR, budgeting, and reporting
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software (e.g. SAGE 300, Paydirt) and MS Excel
Soft Skills: Solid analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; integrity and ability to work under pressure
Pay: $45.00 per hour
